    Remote-control photography

If you want remote control what about using Motion Detection scripts. Presumably you would have line of sight to the camera setup. With MD ....no manual triggering required therefore you would not miss any shots which you could easily happen with manual operation. The only draw back is that no...

    Remote-control photography

I am using an A590IS Re motion detection................if you are having trouble with vegetation movement triggering the camera - 2 ways. 1/ Decrease the threshold value. 2/ Use a MD script which will allow masking off areas not to be triggered by movement (e.g. vegitation) Script MD...

The camera was set in Manual mode - MD will not work in AV/TV satisfactorily due to prefocussing, in Auto goes into a loop. Iso increased after the first pic to allow increase in shutter speed to 1/2000 - aperture f 5.5. What bughunter says is correct.

    Fuji F30 - mixed thoughts.

John A different method of post processing in Photoshop. On the original go to........... Image - Adjustments - Shadow/Highlights Quite a lot of control on this menu - it does help minimize 'burnt-out' highlights although if they are really burnt nothing will recover them. I tend to under...

    Fuji F30 - mixed thoughts.

Re FUJI F30 Plumed Whistle Duck Neil Did not try any other aperatures. Had the camera only for about 10 days so was concentrating on high speeds /ISO to offset camera shake as I'm hand holding to the eyepiece. As it happens the results were underexposed a little so could have tried a wider...
