    VWTECH Trail Cam

Hi, If you're just putting the card into the computer it shouldn't matter whether it's 32 bit or 64 bit, they're just .avi files. If you're using Windows Media Player it sometimes has 'issues' with video files from some cameras, so you could try a different player, such as VLC. Yes, the IR...

    VWTECH Trail Cam

You'll probably find the camera works best with a full set of batteries, rather than just four. This allows the camera to switch between battery 'sets' as each is depleted, allowing them to recover. I assume the camera states it is compatible with 32GB SD cards? If so, hopefully it will be OK...

    VWTECH Trail Cam

Worth a go? Hi, Bear in mind that the larger size of the camera, together with its glowing LEDs, makes it more prone to be spotted, and therefore stolen, than something like an Acorn camera. I've known field biologists, who you'd expect to be quite observant, to not notice an Acorn camera...

    Camera trapping in Poland

Hi, If anyone fancies coming with me to camera trap for wolf, lynx, pine marten, wildcat, wild boar and deer (red and roe) in south-east Poland (on the border with Slovakia), I still have a couple of places left for our next trip from 4th to 11th February. Camera traps available if you don't...

    EM3 bat detector problems

Hi there, As a supplier of these, I've never come across this issue before. Did you leave depleted batteries in the unit for an extended period? It is probably repairable, but the cost of that will depend on the extent of the damage. Is the circuit board damaged? Where did you buy it from and...

Hello from Wildlife Services in Wales

Hi All, I just joined so that I could respond to a bat detector enquiry. Not sure why there's a bat detector enquiry on a bird forum, but hey ho. I specialise in field kit such as bat detectors and trail cameras, so if you have any questions on these topics just let me know. Warm Regards...
