    Could anyone take a stab at i.d'ing this guy - I'm thinking a Siskin but not at all sure. Managed only to get this one shot then he/she was gone. About the size of a House Sparrow. Steart Point by the Bristol Channel, UK on mon 28th March.

    Found a small group of Gooseanders on one of the lakes at Westhay moor. I had to focus manually through the reeds fringing the lake, and I had only a few moments to grab a couple of exposures before they disappeared into the distance.

    Although not uncommon these guys are not the easiest to photograph - no sooner have you got them in frame then they dive - I have a fine collection of photos of swirls in the water with maybe patch of white rump showing.
