I primarily aim at passarines, sm waders, nightjars etc. Very few raptors and always in the bush of Africa, so beige nets won't do in any size.     Cool, thanks - I only this week learned that Warblers are split into two parallel universes! :eek!: I guess it's the Old World I'm after, and that book on the Sylvias seems well respected; The Reed and Bush Warblers was one I have been keeping a beady eye on; I'll look into the others...

    Best place right now is an early morning walk with the guides at Olifants Camp in the Kruger. How long that lasts, though, is anyone's guess, but I know they were seen there in November.
