    New 200-400 f4

11,000.00 for a 200-400 f4 lens. No way, it sounds like a snake oil salesman has come to town.

    Lowering ISO and over exposing

Thank you both very much, the information has been helpful and gives me a starting point for my next outing. I don't have this problem as much with my 7D, and I am putting to much concern on the noise in the sky with the 5dm3 instead of focusing on the bird.

    Lowering ISO and over exposing

They say the only stupid questions are the ones you don't ask, so here is my stupid question, I just thought about it and will try it out the next time I am out shooting. I read in one of the threads or on a web sight that ISO 800 was a good setting on my 5Dm3 for shooting BIF. I already have my...

whats the best canon lens setup for bird pics?

I have used the canon 400 f5.6 on my 7D and 5Dm3. The 400mm definitly works better with the 7D for the longer shots. I will probably end up buying a kenko 1.4 converter to use on my 5Dm3.

    7D II Rumours

I said I would never sell or trade my 7D but I might have to make an exception to buy the 7Dm2. I'll wait a while for the reviews. I got lucky with the 5Dm3 and the 400 5.6 buying them under my wifes good graces, but I think that was my limit.

    7D to 5D III?

New To Birds In Flight since I can't figure out how to start a new thread I would like to bring up a concern that does deal with the 7D and 5Dm3. I know you focus on the eyes, head or neck of BIF, or somewhere there abouts. I'm new to the 5Dm3 and the 400 5.6 and I plan on making a trip this...

    Canon 7D Offers

I buy all my camera equipment at Best Buy (USA), 18 months interest free payments, accept my 400 5.6 which I ordered from Adorama and they were great with shipping and packing tight and I got 6 months interest free with them. Best Buy didn't have that lens.

What do you carry your 400mm in?

UPS just delivered my 400 5.6 and wife didn't kill me. I will lay low for a few days, then take my first bird trip. Compared to my 70-200 f4 this 400 is heavy, just saying, no complaints.
