Aegotheles savesi

Identification

Grey-brown and black plumage. Long, slightly rounded tail, short, rounded wings, and long, stout legs.

Distribution

New Caledonia.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species, which in the past has been considered a part of Australian Owlet-nightjar.

Habitat

Savanna and humid forests.
