The only flowerpecker in its range.
- Bright olive-green plumage

- Pale face and brow
- Greyish breast

- Glossy black tail

Endemic to the Andaman Islands, India.

This is a monotypic species.
It was formerly considerd conspecific with Nilgiri Flowerpecker and Plain Flowerpecker.

Woodland edges, cultivation. Often associated with mistletoes.

The 2-3 eggs are laid in a purse-like nest suspended from a tree or bush.
