Distribution

Central America and South America
Central America: Costa Rica, Panama
South America: Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru

Taxonomy

Subspecies

There are 5 subspecies^[1]:

C. c. olivaceiceps:

Subtropical Caribbean slope of western Costa Rica

C. c. canigularis:

Eastern Andes of Colombia (Cundinamarca) and south-western Venezuela

C. c. conspicillatus:

Western and Central Andes of Colombia

C. c. paulus:

Subtropical Andes of south-western Ecuador

C. c. signatus:

Subtropical Andes of eastern Ecuador and Peru(south to Cuzco)

Habitat

Dry and moist forests, moist montanes and forest edge to at least 2100m.

Behaviour

Diet

Their diet has not been well recorded, but they are known to eat fruit.
