Briefly, the female could be confused with a female Purple-throated Fruitcrow. [edit] DistributionWestern Panama to Costa Rica (Cordilleras de Guancaste, Tilarán and Talamanca). Status: Uncommon to rare. It is estimated that less than 10000 remain. It is currently considered vulnerable by BirdLife International. [edit] TaxonomyThis is a monotypic species[1].
