Identification

19·5–20 cm (7¾-8 in)

Distribution

South-east Asia: found in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.

Habitat

Montane primary forests, both open and dense.

Behaviour

Often cocks tail.

Diet

They feed in low shrubs upwards into the canopy on insects, fruit and nectar.
