Male - grey crown, black forehead, all black underparts, and grey upperparts. Rather small neat bill.

Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.

There are 2 subspecies

  • C. m. montana
  • C. m. bicinia

It's sometimes placed in the genus Edolisoma.

Moist lowland forests and moist montanes.
