10.5-11.5cm. Mainly green with black ear coverts. Some red patches on the wings

Humid limestone forests and mountainous rainforest.

It nests in forest trees, and in holes constructed in trunks or base of trees.

The diet includes fruits, nuts and berries, blossoms, ackee, guava, ripe bananas and young corn.
