South America: found in Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, French Guiana, Brazil

There are 2 subspecies:

• C. a. erythrognatha:

• Eastern Colombia and Venezuela (south of the Orinoco River)

• C. a. alector:

• Extreme eastern Venezuela to Guianas and Brazil (north of the Amazon)

Moist lowland forests and moist montanes to 1400m.

[edit] Diet

The diet consists mainly fruit, but also includes invertebrates, seeds, flowers and leaves.
