Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela.

There are 3 subspecies:

  • T. v. vassorii
  • T. v. atrocoerulea
  • T. v. branickii

Moist montanes.

[edit] Behaviour

The diet includes fruit and nectar.

2-5 eggs are laid and are incubated for 13-15 days. The young fledge after 14-20 days.
