Identification

12 cm (4¾ in)

  • Noticeable bluish eyebrow
  • Blackish crown
  • Broad whitish to greenish-blue supercilium

Distribution

South America: found in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia.

Taxonomy

Subspecies

There are 2 subspecies[1]:

  • T. c. lutleyi:
  • T. c. cyanotis:
  • Yungas of north-western Bolivia (La Paz and Cochabamba)

Habitat

Wet and humid montane forests and forest edges. Also older second growth.

Behaviour

Diet

Their main diet consists of various fruits and arthropods.
