Identification

11 cm (4¼ in)

  • Dull olive crown and upperparts
  • Pale grey lores and auriculars
  • Brownish-olive tail

Distribution

South America: found from southern Guyana to Suriname, French Guiana and northern Brazil (Amapá).

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Habitat

Humid tropical evergreen forests is where they have generally been seen, but there is little other information.

Behaviour

Diet

Their diet consists mostly of insects. They forage alone, in pairs and occasionally in mixed species flocks.
