Reserve of 85 ha managed by local organisation Natuurpunt. Close to port of Antwerp and its sprawling industrial terrains. Consists of mainly three parts: a drier, wooded area with oaks, ashes and alders; a large reedbed; a marshy area with reeds and open water.

Noteable breeding species are: Western Marsh Harrier, Bluethroat, Grasshopper Warbler, Nightingale, Water Rail, Garganey, Sedge Warbler.

Noteable winter and migration species: Great Egret and Little Egret, Great Bittern, Purple Heron.
