Identification

Distribution

Papua New Guinea.

Taxonomy

Two subspecies recognized:

  • Z. t. talasea on Bismarck Archipelago (New Britain and Umboi)
  • Z. t. atrigena on Bougainville (Solomon Islands)

Clements splits atrigena as full species, Bougainville Thrush.

Habitat

Moist lowland forests and montanes.
