• Bright crown and long tail
• Grey underparts
• Buff-grey postocular stripe
• Whitish throat, flecked black around malar
• Brownish flanks and undertail
• Strong bill

South America: found in eastern Paraguay to south-eastern Brazil and north-eastern Argentina.
