Long-tailed smaller parrots with mostly green colors and distibuted in the Americas

Aratinga is a genus in the Family Psittacidae. It has been shown to be polyphyletic, so expect that it will be split into several genera.

Aratinga pintoi was changed to Aratinga maculata according to international nomenclature rules.
