This genus, if recognized, would include Bonaparte’s Gull, Black-headed Gull, Slender-billed Gull, Brown-hooded Gull, Brown-headed Gull, Grey-headed Gull, Black-billed Gull, Red-billed Gull, Silver Gull, Hartlaub's Gull, and Andean Gull.

Chroicocephalus is a genus in the Family Laridae. It is recognized by e.g., BOU, but not (yet?) by the major world-wide checklists; these place these gulls in genus Larus.
