If accepted, this family would contain the Quail-thruses and Jewel-babblers of Australia and New Guinea.
This name is also used for the remaining members of the Eupetidae if the Malaysian Rail-babbler is put in its own family.

Cinclosomatidae is a family in the Order Passeriformes.
The two genera are normally included in the family Eupetidae.
