This genus contains two species from the Philippines.
They differ from the other babblers of the genus Napothera by:

  • lacking rictal bristles
  • having part-feathered nares
  • broad white tips on wing-coverts and outer primaries
  • copious elongate rump feathering
  • a long and slightly hooked bill
  • walking habit

[edit] Taxonomy

Robsonius is a genus in the Family Pellorneidae.
It was formerly included in the family Timaliidae.
This genus is sometimes merged in the genus Napothera.
