Taxonomy
Scotocercidae is a family in the order Passeriformes.
Most genera were formerly included in the family Sylviidae.
IOC splits this family into three separate families: Erythrocercidae (Yellow Flycatchers), Scotocercidae (with only one species, Streaked Scrub Warbler) and Cettiidae (Bush Warblers and allies). Clements formerly used the name Cettiidae instead of Scotocercidae.
