[edit] Identification

10-11cm. Bright pinkish-red, darker on upperparts, grey crown and nape, dark vent, grey, thick, conical bill, grey legs and feet. Females similar but slightly duller, paler and browner. Juveniles are brown above and buff below with a pinkish-red rump.
