[edit] Similar Species

It is found in the same areas as Suiriri Flycatcher, but can be distinguished by its proportionally smaller bill and broad bolder pale terminal tail fringe. It also has a different voice and has a distinctive wing and tail shivering display.

South America: found in the Cerrado region of Central Brazil and adjacent eastern Bolivia.

Only described in 2001. Before that it was assumed to be conspecific with Suiriri Flycatcher.

This is a monotypic species[1].

Savanna and grasslands with scattered trees.
