A rather plain, black-lored cisticola.

[edit] Similar Species

Similar to Hunter's Cisticola, but Chubb's Cisticola has no streaking on its back and has a brighter rufous crown and neck.

Burundi, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda. Also a distinct population in Cameroon.

[edit] Taxonomy

Considered by some authorities to be conspecific with Hunter's Cisticola, but no evidence of integradation seems to occur in areas where the two species overlap.

Dense vegetation along woodland streams and forest edges.
