Identification
13–14·5 cm (5-5¾ in)
- Greyish overall plumage
- White band across forehead and over eyes
- Rufous breast patch
- White patches at base of tail
Distribution
Asia: found in China, Tibet, Nepal
South Asia: India, Eastern and western Himalayas, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Taiwan, Hong Kong
Southeast Asia: Indochina, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam and Thailand
Taxonomy

- Vietnam (Langbian Plateau)
Habitat
They can be found in a variety of habitat types, dense and open conifer and broad-leafed forest; also thick secondary scrub.
Behaviour
Diet
There is little information published, except that small invertebrates are included in the diet. They forage in the undergrowth, alone or in pairs.
