10 - 11.5cm. A tiny greyish babbler:

  • Yellow-fronted chestnut crown
  • White face with bold vertical subocular bar
  • Black and yellow wingpanels

Sexes similar, juveniles not described.

Found in southern China in south and southcentral Sichuan and disjunctly in Guangxi.
Locally common restricted-range species.

This is a monotypic species[1].

Placed in genus Pseudominla by some authors.

Broadleaf evergreen and mixed deciduous and pine forest. Prefers extensive bamboo cover. Found at 650 - 2000m.

[edit] Diet

Feeds on insects and spiders.
Usually seen in pairs, foraging in undergrowth and bamboo. Similar behaviour to that of Rufous-winged Fulvetta.

[edit] Breeding

Breeding season April to June. One described nest was similar to that of Rufous-winged Fulvetta and contained 4 eggs. No further information.
