This lake set in an attractive area of coniferous woodland has a bird observation on its southern shore.

The lake has much surrounding vegetation and attracts a wide variety of birds in summer and on passage including Common Crane, Osprey and Greylag Goose, Caspian Tern and Little Gull. The surrounding woods are home to Black Woodpecker and Northern Goshawk and White-tailed Eagle occurs on passage.
