  • Dark slate lores
  • Dark slate-brown primaries and secondaries

Distribution

Africa
Western Africa: Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Angola
Eastern Africa: Uganda, Tanzania

Taxonomy

Formerly placed in genus [[:Category:Myioparus|Myioparus]

Subspecies

There are 2 subspecies[1]:

  • F. g. parelii:
  • F. g. griseigularis:

Habitat

Lowland rainforests, both primary and secondary and forest edges.

Behaviour

Diet

Their diet consists mostly of insects, such as ants, beetles, caterpillars and moths.
