[edit] OverviewProvince of Larache. the Larache wetland ( 35�08'12 N- 5�58'67) occur in the north-of Morocco 150 km North of Rabat and 80 km south of Tangier. 4 kM far from the atlantic coast. it's fed by the river of Loukkos,the water table and also conditioned by the rain in winter. [edit] Birds[edit] Notable SpeciesThe vegetation is rich and abundant (scirpus, reeds, Iris, water lilies,typha, ...) in addition to that the place presents a mosaic of habitat (Cork oak forest,rice plantations, fields,..). Many species of birds can be seen in this place. According to Imad Cherkaoui, 2004; 216 species was seen in the four last years; most of them are water dependent.
