25cm. White, long, drooping crest, black tips on the wings and tail, blue bare skin around the eyes, greyish legs and a yellow bill. Sexes are similar.

Bali; 24 birds in the wild, and maybe 1000 in captivity (2005) [1]

This is a monotypic species.

Tree tops of forested areas and savannas.

[edit] Behaviour

The diet includes insects and fruit.

The nest is built from grass and twigs in a tree cavity; 2-4 blue green eggs are laid and incubated for 13-16 days by just the female, but sometimes both parents. The young fledge after 15-25 days.
