North-east of Pyhatunturi National Park and close to the southern border of Lapland, this reserve has wooded hillsides, high fells, peatbogs and lakes.

[edit] Notable Species

Black-throated Diver breeds as well as several duck species and various waders including Whimbrel and Wood Sandpiper. In wooded areas there are Three-toed Woodpecker, Siberian Tit, Brambling and Redpoll.

Access to the reserve only with permission from the National Parks Office. Situated to the north-east of Savukoski, the park is reached via Martii.
