Colombia, Venezuela, Trinidad and the Guianas, Ecuador, Paraguay and northern Brazil.

[edit] Taxonomy

This was considered a separate species by Sibley & Monroe (1996), but Dickinson (2003) and Clements (2008) consider it a subspecies of the Epaulet Oriole.

[edit] Habitat

[edit] Behaviour

Its nest is a long hanging basket of grass and other plant fibres, suspended from the end of a branch. 2 dark-spotted pale blue or white eggs are laid.

Diet includes insects, but also nectar and some fruit.
