Juveniles much darker than adults. [edit] TaxomomyThis monotypic species was described in 2003 [edit] HabitatHigh elevation elfin/cloud forest at higher elevation than Gray-breasted Wood-Wren which is found in full size cloud forest as well as drier forest both east and west of this species.
