Length. 10 in, Wing: 4.9-5.2in, Tail: 2.7 - 3.2 in, Bill: 0.75 in, Weight: about 4oz

Dark purplish-blue crown, yellow nape, reddish orange back of nape, face, chin and throat, green back and wings, wing primaries tipped blackish, black with yellow and green underwing, red barred with dark blue chin and chest, dark green belly, yellow green thighs, yellow with pink base bill, orange iris, grey-green legs. Sexes similar.
