This bird has very long, white central tail feathers, a long, slightly decurved bill, reddish upper tail coverts and cinnamon underparts.

Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, and Paraguay.

This is a monotypic species1.

[edit] Habitat

Subtropical or tropical dry forests, and subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests. It inhabits scrubby areas and dry forest as well as gardens and parks.

It feeds on nectar and small insects.
