[edit] Overview

This is an island off the west coast of peninsular Malaysia.

It would not ordinarily be considered a nature site as one half of the island is home to a container port! The other half is more of a Malay Kampung (Village) community, however, I have encountered a number of bird species here which are easy to see and study.

You can only really view the birds from the road. Many find perches on overhead wires, fallen branches, or a good old fashioned tree.

[edit] Notable Species

If you head on out using the off-road track towards the fishing restaurant on the coast, you can see families of Brahminy Kite.

[edit] Check-list

Birds you can see here include:

Brahminy Kite, White-throated Kingfisher, Grey Wagtail, Blue-tailed Bee-Eater, Brown Shrike, Olive-backed Sunbird, Chestnut Munia To finish
