The Rondeau peninsula is one of best examples of a Cuspate Sandspit in North America. The peninsula extends almost 8 km into Lake Erie, and forming a protected bay. ¹

The area attracts migrant birds both in the spring and fall, providing some of the best bird watching in Ontario. March brings Tundra Swan and continues through to May with the arrival of Warblers.¹
