Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore, Sumatra, Java. and the Philippines.

The three subspecies are:

S. s. seloputo - S Myanmar and central Thailand to Singapore. Also Jambi (Sumatra) and Java
S. s. baweana - Endemic to Bawean Island off N Java
S. s. wiepkini - Calamian Islands and Palawan (Philippines)
