Distribution
Malawi, Mozambique, and Tanzania.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[2].
Some authorities place this species in Chloropicus.
Habitat
Brachystegia woodland.
Status
Classified as Near Threatened in the 2009 IUCN Red List.[1]
Behaviour
Diet
The diet includes insects and centipedes.
Breeding
It nests in tree holes.
