Identification
Length 10 cm; tail very short.
A crombec with a pale grey back, chestnut ear coverts and a chestnut breast band. The colour of the forehead and crown varies from grey to chestnut.

Western Africa: Gabon, Congo, DRC, Angola
Eastern Africa: South-eastern Tanzania, Zambia, northern Mozambique, Malawi
Southern Africa: North-eastern Namibia

Habitat
Miombo (broad-leafed woodland) canopy.
Behaviour
Small, active birds; they glean invertebrates from branches in canopy.
