Distribution
South America: found in central and southern Chile and adjacent Argentina.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Dense bamboo vegetation in cool rainforests to 1200m.
Behaviour
Breeding
It builds a ball shaped nest from plant material, placed in vegetation, near the ground. Both sexes incubate the eggs and care for the young.
Diet
The diet includes insects and invertebrates.
