13cm. Olive-green, black stripes on tan/buff head, yellowish chest/belly, brown legs.

Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Panama, Peru, and Venezuela.

Twelve different subspecies share the range of this species.

Middle elevation wet forests, Caribbean and southern Pacific slopes; found low in understory of forest interior and at forest edges.
