[edit] OverviewPantanal in Mato Grosso. This is a 150 km road located 100 km from the city of Cuiaba. This road is an excellent viewing platform to watch the birds. Boat trips along this river find, besides birds such as the rare Agami Heron, mammals such as monkeys, Brazilian Tapir and Giant River Otters. The Pixaim river in fact is a very long and narrow oxbow lake which connects to Pantanal rivers during the flood season (Nov.-March).
