Canirallus beankaensis

[edit] Identification

Cinnamon-rufous underside, color extendig up to about the eye. Crown dark grey mottled with greyish-brown showing less contrast in brightness than Madagascar Wood Rail. Also significantly larger than the latter.

Patchily distributed in western Madagascar.
