[edit] Overview

Verdecocha Private Reserve is located in the Nono Valley, near Quito the capital of Ecuador.

The reserve's approx. 1260 ha. of land goes from 2200 to 3500 meters over sea level, so it has more than 200 species of birds; mostly northwestern Andean birds. Our reserve ends at the begining of the Mindo River, so you can then experience lower altitude birdwatching and butterfly observation.
