Yellow-bellied Sunbird-Asity has bright yellow underparts and males have darker, more uniform upperparts.

Highland forests of eastern Madagascar.
Fairly common and widespread.

This is a monotypic species[1].

[edit] Habitat

Moist montane forests at a lower altitude than Yellow-bellied Sunbird-Asity. Occurs from sea-level up to 1500m, locally higher. Scarce below 400m.

Feeds mostly on nectar, takes sometimes small insects.
Joins mixed-species flocks.
Little known about breeding. Nest building has been recorded from August to January.
