Identification
Rufous upperparts, grey crown, white corners to the tail, white wing stripe, long bill.
Distribution
Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, and Peru.
Taxonomy
Two subspecies are recognized[1]:
- C. a. atacamensis
- C. a. schocolatinus
Habitat
High-altitude grassland and rivers.
Behaviour
Mostly found on the ground.
